Welcome to the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Longwood</span> blog by the way. Here is the first in a series of Pro-Con debates we'll be hosting here. Hope you enjoy it. Now, onto The Nerd Hag.<br /><br />Maybe you've met her, maybe you haven't. But if you've been spending your days with Buffy Summers, then you've been spending your nights dreaming about her. The Nerd Hag.<br /><br />She's the oft spoke of *heart*-er of nerds. Most gaggles of geeks are lucky enough to attract one. Where many women prefer a night on the town, the Nerd Hag is happy to spend a cosy evening at home looking through back issues of Superman's Girlfriend, Lois Lane. If you're not familiar with the term, nerd hag, perhaps "just one of guys" is a better metaphor.<br /><br /><div>Every group of guys needs that <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">liaison</span> into the mysterious cabal of womanhood. It helps the less socialized among us get a bit of a test-run before trying their hand (or hands) at the real thing. It would also be reasonable to assume that meeting a lady who spends the occasional weekend rolling critical hits with her 9<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">th</span> level Paladin would have even more positive effects on man-children everywhere. Perhaps it would induce the less <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">hygienic</span> to spend the occasional weekend taking a shower and tucking in their shirt. But that's not what this is about.<br /><br />Sometimes a date can be as simple as pulling the Trivial Pursuit cards down from your closet shelf. The nerd-hag knows this. Hell, she may even bring over her copy of Scrabble and suggest a board game <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">biathlon</span>.
